12 weeks
We are keeping our sweet Wheaten pup, named Margie by her new owners, for 10 more days and have been enjoying helping to potty train her and also teaching her a few puppy manners. She already knows how to go inside her "place" (a crate ,which before long, won't fit her at all!) sit, and down on command.Wolfhounds are so easy to train with treats of dog food or cheese. They want to please and the treats are also a great incentive! She's also learning to share toys with our Havanese, Gidget.. Today, I carefully introduced her to the horses and goats. She was quite curious and although cautious, was confident.
Here she is
checking the horses out near the security of my foot!
This next shot was so cute- Cade and Sarge are calm, gentle boys, and used to dogs. I knew they were just as curious and were not going to try and bite or kick Margie .
Now it's play time with Gidget. Its a little blurry on my phone, but they both want the same stuffed toy. Margie is learning to respect who has the toy first, but still thinks she's the rightful owner!
Now its relax time. At 12 weeks, she's all legs and feet!
